House Mouse Challenge #17

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. Yesterday was supposed to be the new challenge on the House Mouse Monday Challenge Blog, but they were having computer problems and got it up today. Let me tell you, I was worrying-I do love the challenges. Anyway, today's challenge is SNOW-paper, snowflakes, whatever. It just had to have snow. So, I got to use my new HM stamp, isn't it cute?! My snow is the glitter everywhere, and the snowflake jewels, and snowflake paper. The CS is DCWV, the script dp is Kaiser Scrapbook, and the snowflake dp is Imaginisce-I hope I spelled that right. I colored with prisma pencils, and Martha Stewart glitter markers-love these too. The ribbon is from Joann's, when it was on clearance last year after Christmas. Hope you like it, TFL, and let me know what you think.

Paula's Blog Candy!!!

Oh wow, you guys have to check this out. I just found her blog from one one my SCS blog groups. She has the most adorable woodland elf images, and she has some amazing blog candy right now. So go check out Paula's blog, I promise you won't be disappointed.

Cupcake Craft Challenge Blog

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I've discovered a new blog. It's called Cupcake Craft Challenges. They have a new challenge every Monday. This week was a sketch challenge. So I used this as another excuse to get another Christmas card done. I picked up this stamp set when we were in Medford, OR. visiting friends. It's Winter Birds by inkadinkadoo, and they are beautiful, and I've dying to use them. I embossed the stamp in Dark Night EP from sparkles and sprinkles. I don't think you can really tell in the picture but it's the most beautiful shade of midnight blue, and it's shimmery. The blue CS is Bazzill Bling, and some silver metallic cs that I've had forever. This ribbon is from Joann's, and a clear snowflake-not sure where I got this at. I stamped some silver snowflakes on the blue bg, these are from Studio G. The sentiment is from a set I got at Michael's last year. And of course there's the bling from Michael's also. So, I hope you like it, let me know what you think.

Christmas Bella Style #2

Good afternoon, hope all is well with everybody. Well, I'm finally on a roll with getting Christmas cards and goodies done. I seem to get things done, when I'm running out of time. I hate that, I try to get them done earlier, but never works out. Stamping Bella is celebrating their 2nd anniversary, so in celebration they had a bash on SCS, and gave us challenges to do. I combined 2 of them. This first was to use the Bella signature colors: Pink and Green. This was so not hard for me, since they are my 2 favorite colors. The second was a sketch challenge. So this is what I came up with. The Green cardstock is Bazzill Bling in "Bank Roll", I'm in love with this paper. The dp is Daisybucketdesigns, I got last year at my LSS. The stamp is of course Stamping Bella-wreathabella, which I got in a swap. The sentiment is a studio G 1 dollar stamp from Michael's. The bling and ribbon is also from Michael's. The colored cardstock is also DCWV. I used my nestabilities to do the scallop square. The gold circle stickers are Class A Peel's. The buttons I got last year at the scrapbook expo-no idea who they are by. Thank you for looking, hope you like it. Please leave a comment and let me know what you think.

House Mouse Glitter Tag

Good evening, hope all is well with you. I made this tag for the House Mouse Monday Challenge. This week's challenge was to use glitter, glitz, whatever sparkles, and the more the better. I'll admit I don't have that much. I kinda cheated, well not really-maybe!? I started my card with a very cute image. I got it all colored and glittered, and started to make it, and decided that I did not like it AT ALL. I tried everything to fix it, change it, mat it, anything and everything. And I still did not like it. But it was getting to late to do a whole other image, so I did this little tag. I know, I know, I'm sure it's not exactly what they are looking for, but it'll have to do in a pinch. I used Bazzill Bling CS in High Heels, and crystal stickles, and lime stickles. The ribbon is gold glittery that I had in my stash. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

Blog Group Challenge #4

Good evening, I hope all is well with you. I've actually completed another project today. This was for my blog group challenge on SCS. This is our 4th challenge and it is being hosted by Sue from Sue's Sentiments. Our challenge was to use black and white only. I've never done a card like this before, but have always wanted too. So I finally got my chance, and I have to say I am very pleased with my card. I really like the way it turned out. I embossed the trees on black paper with Winter Wonderland embossing powder by Stampendous. I cuttlebugged the white bg paper. The ribbon is from my stash, and the jewels are from Michael's $1 package. So thank you Sue for the fun challenge. Hope you guys like it. Please let me know what you think.

Season's Greetings-Bella Style

Happy Saturday afternoon everybody. This card was done for the Bella sketch challenge over on SCS, which is hosted by Jamie. She does an amazing job on these sketches. So if you haven't checked these out, you really should. Well, she used ovals in her sketch, but I don't have any oval nesties yet, so I used circles. Hope I don't get in too much trouble-hehe. This image is Merrybella, which I received in a swap, isn't she cute? The snowflake is from one of those clear sets at wal-mart right now, and then I put those clear tiles on top of those. I used small gold circle stickers from stampendous class a peels. The bling is from Michael's dollar packages, the ribbon is from my stash. The sentiment is from studio g christmas sets. And I used my circle punch to do the corners. It's pretty simple, but I think it turned out really cute. Let me know what you think, I love reading your comments. Have a great day.

House Mouse Challenge 15

Ok, I'm on a roll, 2 posts in 1 day. This is for the Monday House Mouse Challenge Blog. If you haven't tried, you should. They are alot of fun. And those ladies are very talented. This weeks challenge was to use polka dots. Way too easy for me, I Love polka dots. The only challenge was how to incorporate them into a Christmas card. But I think it worked, what do you think? I rec'd this image in a swap on SCS. I love all these house mouse images, and am trying to build my collection. Until then, I love these swaps!! The plaid dp is from DCWV christmas stack-last year. The polka dot dp is DCWV nursery stack. The ribbon is from my stash, and the star clothespin is from a package from Michael's, gems are also from Michael's. Hope you like it and please tell me what you think. I love reading all the comments. Have a great day.

Bunny Kisses

Good late morning to all. I made this card for the SCS sketch challenge #203. I just got this stamp, and had to ink it up. Isn't it cute? I know, I know, my lines aren't straight. I do not know what my problem is I cannot cut, glue or do anything in straight lines. I've even tried to use a ruler, but it never works. Oh well, forgive me!! I try. Have a wonderful day.

Good evening everyone again, hope you are all doing well. This card if for House Mouse Monday Challenge. If you haven't played along with any of these you really should, they are so much fun. This week's challenge was to do anything Christmas. Ok, so I used an image I rec'd in a swap on SCS. Sorry I don't know the name of the stamp, but I love it, it's so cute(don't you think). The CS is DCWV, Dp is DaisyD'spaper. I colored with Koh-I-Noor pencils, and some crystal stickles. The "snow" is some chunky glitter stuff that I got from my mom. I love this stuff too, it's so pretty. I added some ribbon and jewels, and voila it's done. It's simple but I really like it. What do you think? I love hearing your comments.

Blog Group Challenge #3

Good Evening, I finally finished Challenge #3. Danielle was our host this time around. She decided to do a sketch. So here is my take on it. The picture is not the best, but I couldn't go outside to take the picture, because it's dark here. Oh well, hopefully you can see it good enough. I rec'd this image in a swap on SCS, and I LOVE it. I want the stamp, but I have no idea who it's by. I went with non-traditional colors even though it is a Christmas card. I had to move my sentiment to the top instead of the bottom. I colored it with my Twinkling H2o's. I LOVE those too. They are very shimmery, and just perfect for these type of images. So my supplies are as follows:
CS- "Bank Roll" by DCWV
DP- Daisy Bucket Designs
Image- Unknown
Twinkling H2o's
Crystal Stickles
Clear snowflakes-unknown, I found them in my stash, I have no idea where they came from.
Sentiment-Studio G
Thanks for looking and let me know what you think, I love hearing the feedback.

House Mouse Challenge #13

Hello again!!! I know, I know, it's been a little bit since I last posted. You know how life is, it like's to get in the way of what you really want to be doing. Oh well, I'm back now. So this weeks challenge on House Mouse was to use "junk". It sounds easier than it was. I thought "junk, what the heck kinda junk am I going to use." So I was talking to my mom, and kicking around ideas, but nothing really seemed to interest me, so I thought I would skip this week. Then I was cleaning my room and found all kinds of junk to throw away. I came across this cookie tin, and thought it might turn out cute. This is the first time I've done anything like this. I keep seeing all these other things that everybody alters and always think that they are so cute, but probably harder than I want to deal with, so I've never done it. Well, I finally did and I LOVE the way it turned out. I bought this stamp from someone on SCS and LOVE it too. My daughter Ashlee, loves to snowboard so when I saw this it totally reminded me of her. So this is for her to collect her money to buy her snowboarding things that she wants. Anyway, thanks for looking and hope you enjoy it. Let me know what you think, I love hearing all of your comments.

House Mouse Challenge #12

Hello again, I've made a card for the House Mouse Monday Challenge. If you haven't played along with any of these challenges you should try. They are very fun, and some very challenging. This week they had a recipe for the card or whatever that we were supposed to make. The hardest part for me was to use felt, I've never used it before, but it was fun. The felt is the stickers under the buttons. I also made this for my mother's anniversary, which of course is late. I'm always late with cards-never fails. I know she's gonna see it, I already told her it was here. She's also part of my SCS blogging group. So I hope you like it mom!!! Have a great day everybody, and let me know what you think.

Twilight movie countdown

Pretty Princess

Good Morning, today is the first of our SCS blog group challenges. And I was the first to sign up, so I get to do the first one. Yay me!? I'm not quite sure if that's a good thing or not. Oh well, here it goes. I made this one pretty simple, because I don't sketch, and I didn't have a whole lot of time to think about this one. We had unexpected company this weekend. So, It's a 2 part challenge. First, use polka dots-anywhere you want, any way you want. Second, use ribbon-again anyway you want, anywhere you want. If your don't have polka dot paper, you can use the new eraser of a pencil, it works great. I did not do that this time, but have in the past and love it. I think we said these were going to be week long challenges. So have your entry uploaded and on your blog by Sunday evening-Nov. 9th. Have fun, and be creative!!! And good luck to the next hostess. Well, I had to come back and edit this, because as usual I didn't read the directions first, so I didn't list my supplies, so here it goes:
Green CS-Bazzill shimmers-Bank Roll
DP-Making Memories
Image-from a swap on SCS
Ribbon-not sure, probably Michael's
Princess Images-Studio G clear set
Misc-Prisma color pencils, silver glitter glue, silver and purple glitter marker-martha stewart, inks around edges-martha stewart, corner rounder, glue dots, and gems from michael's
Hope that helps, and have fun!!!!!
Also, I just read that we were doing this every 2 weeks, so no pressure!!

This is the first one I've been involved with and it was FUN!!! I already rec'd my jar and loved everything in it, she even put hellokitty stickers in it for me. So, I'm mailing my jar today, and hopefully she will like it. I used the sketch from Taylored Expression's weekly cupcake challenge. This sketch is from a couple of weeks ago, but I really liked it, so here it is!!!!
I know, I know, I used pink AGAIN, but oh well!!! So let me know what you think, I love hearing from you guys.

House Mouse Gift Box

Well Hello All!!!! I know I've been missing for awhile. LIFE!! Sometimes it's really annoying. Oh well, it seems to be calming down for a second. So, I finally got a chance to actually do something that I wanted to do, and it was the house mouse challenge for this week-anything but a card. If you haven't checked this out, you really should. They are alot of fun. This is only the second one I've been able to participate in, but I love it. Here is the link. Ok, so I really had to think about this one, because I haven't made many "other" things. I was looking through my stash of stuff and found these gable boxes, so I thought I'd try these. I've had these since probably my son was born-OMG-way too long to have things in my stash without using them. I'm really bad about buying things and not using them. My son is 9 by the way. So I started by painting the box, it was white. I just used Joann's brand paint in Real Green. The paper I used is from the DCWV christmas stack from last year. Cardstock is DCWV-Red. The stamp is House Mouse "Having a Ball", I colored with prismacolor pencils, and put some stickles in crystal on the hat, and around the bottom. I really like the way it turned out. OH yeah, I did use a coat of glitter paint over the green. I just found that at Michael's. So, what do you think? Love hearing from you guys. I really will try to post more this week.

Fun Stuff

Ok, now that I've showed you what we've been making, onto the FUN stuff. I just got a quad, and went riding yesterday. I've been wanting one of these for a few years now, and we came across a great deal, so I finally got it. Yeah me!!!!! So I thought I'd share a few pictures. We went to what used to be the lake, to ride. The lake is so far down, that all of this area is dry. While it's not good for the lake, we had fun. This is me and my husband(he's teaching me how to ride it). Although he insisted I wear a helmet, you can see that he doesn't think he needs one. We'll have to change that. And there's me, not doing to bad!!! I'm always so afraid to try things, and then I get on there and wonder what the problem ever was, because I had sooo much fun. The top picture is Ashlee on the quad. This was her first time on one too, and she didn't want to give it back-how rude!!!!! The other 3 pictures are the Kids-hehe playing on their bikes, Jesse is 9, and Sabrina is 12, and then there's Daniel-the biggest kid of all. Thanks for looking at our family fun.

Christmas make n take

A couple of weekends ago my daughter Sabrina and I went to our LSS to a Christmas make and take. We had SO much fun. Sabrina is 12 and loves to scrap and stamp with me. We have a lot of fun, so I thought I would share the pictures of what we made. We did make one halloween project, it is the cutest. We used badge holders, and made mini pages to go inside. The little christmas cottage was lots of fun too. We used coaster to make the base of the house. The circle on the back is for a picture. Sabrina is sending all of these things to her grandmas for christmas. The last pictures are a mini book we made, again we used coasters, and then just paper in the middle. All in all it was a great day, lots of fun for me and Sabrina. Hope you like them, thanks for looking.
