Sassy Studio Designs Card

Good evening, hope all is well with you. Tonight I have a card that I made using a digi image from Sassy Studio Designs. The image is called "Cell Phone Cindy". Isn't she cute? It so reminds me of my girls, although they are mostly texting, but you get the idea. I colored her with prisma pencils, and add some stickles here and there. I used a sketch from Our Creative Corner. The CS is Bazill bling line, and the dp is unknown. It was already cut up and the name gone. On the pink panel I used a Studio G stamp and stamped it in CTMH denim blue and in versamark. The "Call Me" sentiment is from Studio G as well. The ribbon is from the Dollar Tree. I added a few buttons, and voila' it's done. Thanks for looking, hope you like it. Please don't forget that tomorrow is the first ever Work It Wednesday on TCC's blog. This will be a weekly challenge with a prize given away. Also tomorrow they are offering a "freebie" for you to play with, so have fun, and create fun. Oh, one more thing! Squigglefly is having their blog hop starting tomorrow with 1/2 of the DT, and the other 1/2 on Thursday. They also will be giving prizes. They've started something new too. For the month of July they will be donating 50% of sales to the ASPCA. This applies to images found in the animals category. Also they are starting a rewards program, for every 15 dollars that you spend, you get 1 free image! How cool is that! So make sure you visit both of these blogs and have fun.

Squigglefly Challenge #8-An ATC

Good morning, hope all is well with you. Today is challenge #8 over on the Squigglefly Blog. Rhonda's challenge for us today is to make an ATC. I just started making these little things, and I have to tell you-I'm hooked. They are so much fun. They're a little harder for me, because you have such a small space to work with. But, lots of fun. And they are perfect for digi images, because you can re size the images to anything you want. I used the "Pixie" image for this one, isn't she adorable! I cut my CS down to the 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 size and went from there. I can't tell you where the CS is from because it got sent to me from a secret sister. The burgandy and pink are bazill, and the white is GP. I used my only corner punch(really need more of those) for the corners, and then wrapped wire with a few beads on it around the whole thing. So, make sure you check out squigglefly for adorable images. They've just added a whole bunch of new one's too. Also don't forget about the squigglefly blog hop on July 1st and 2nd.

Cupcake Craft Challenge #45

Good morning, hope all is well with you. Today I have a card that I made for the Cupcake Craft Challenge. I also have been able to participate in these challenges in awhile. For this card I used a stamp set that my mom sent to me for my birthday. It's from Our Craft Lounge and it's called "Bubbles". I LOVE turtles, which I'm sure most of you know by now, so this set was perfect for me. I LOVE it! I finally got to use it, and this is what I came up with. I colored everything with my Koh-I-Noor pencils and blended it with the prisma blender pencil. The CS is Bazill, and the DP is from Miss Elizabeth, which you get at the dollar tree. I added some Diamond Glaze to look like bubbles(i think) with a glitter gel pen around them. The ribbon is from my stash, and i added the dew drops to the side. I also added a piece of the DP inside and stamped the saying"you're a star" on a star I cut out with my nesties. Hope you like it, thanks for looking. Don't forget about the Squigglefly blog hop on July 1st, and 2nd. Also, don't forget about the first "Work it Wednesday" from The Character Cafe, which is also on the 1st. They will be having a "freebie" for you also. Have a wonderful day!

House Mouse Challenge #43

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I've finally done another House Mouse Challenge. It seems like forever since I've done one. This week they had a sketch, and I love to do sketch challenges. And since I actually got to do this one, I went all out and made a card and a note book. WOO HOO!!! The card is made using the "Pop-ular Fun" stamp. I colored it with my prisma pencils and blender pencil. I cut the image out with my nesties, matted on green Bazill paper that I ran through the cuttlebug with an embossing folder. I sanded it a little bit to make it look distressed. The CS is Bazill, and the DP is DCWV. Both circles were cut out with my nesties and ran through the cuttlebug with the swiss dots embossing folder. The ribbon is from my stash, and I added some dew drops on the top and bottom of the circles. The note book uses the same DP, but the CS is from Michael's. The stamp for this one is "Balloon Journey". I also used my nesties to cut these out. I added my own polka dots to the circle and then went over them with stickles. I went around the green part with my glitter gel pen. The ribbon is again from my stash, and I also added dew drops to this one. Thanks for looking and don't forget about The Squigglefly blog hop starting July 1st, and then also the 2nd. And, don't forget about The Character Cafe's Work it Wednesday starting July 1st. Have a wonderful day!

The Character Cafe's Feature Friday

Good morning, hope all is well with you. This morning I have a card for the first Feature Friday from The Character Cafe. Each week there will be a "Work it Wednesday" and a "Feature Friday". On Wednesday's 1 member of the design team will showcase a "style" for you. And on Friday the rest of the design team will be showing you their projects. The "Work it Wednesday" will begin on July 1st, so don't miss it. Today I chose the Cupcake Pewter image to work with. I'm not usually into skunks, but you have to admit that He is adorable. I had so many ideas going around in my head when I started this, but as the day went on, it got more and more simple. Hope it's not to simple for you. I kinda like the simpleness-lol! I used purple CS by Bazill, and the polka dot dp is Making Memories, the purple dp is DCWV. I added a couple of primas and voila-here he is! I colored him with copics, and bic's. I added crystal effects to his nose and the frosting. His white stripe is stickles. Thanks for looking and don't forget to check out the other design team member's blog's for their wonderful work! Have a great day!

Squigglefly Challenge #7

Good morning, hope all is well with you. This week on the squigglefly challenge blog, Kim has given us the challenge of doing the "out of the box" technique. If your saying "what the heck is that" as I was Here is the tutorial. I thought this was going to be so hard, but it was very easy. So for this card I used Squigglefly image: Brokenteddy. I used a sketch from the Sketch Saturday Blog. The blue CS is Bazill Bling, and the gingham dp is making memories, the stripe is DCWV. I cut the bear out with my nesties. I added button to the corners, and class a peel stickers to the top. I colored the image with my prisma color pencils. The sentiment is hand written and says "Get Well Soon". A Squigglefly Wedding Set

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I can't believe I haven't posted anything since Thursday. The Character Cafe' had their blog hop going until yesterday, so I wanted to leave that post until then. And, I'm not the smartest in figuring out things, I know that their is a way to leave a post at the top, but I don't know how to do it. So I thought this would just be easier. So, on to today's post. I made both of these for a contest at Squigglefly, so I didn't want to post them until it was over. But here they are. I kinda went with a wedding theme, and of course I was stuck on the whole black, pink, silver thing. The card is made with the "Beautiful Wedding: Sweet Dress" image. And the journal is made with the "Wedding Bliss: Beautiful Cake" image. They are both so much fun to color. And can be very versatile. They don't have to be used for a wedding theme, you could use them for lots of things. Prom, baby shower, bridal shower, the possibilities are endless. If you haven't checked out Squigglefly recently, go over right now. They've been adding new image all the time. Thanks for looking, and have a great day.

The Character Cafe' Blog Hop

Good evening, and welcome to THE CHARACTER CAFE' BLOG HOP! Let me start by saying that if you didn't get here by way of Colleen's Blog, please go back there. You will need to start at the beginning of our hop in order to collect the code for the discount and be eligible for the prizes. You will also need to leave a comment on every one's blog. The first stop on the hop is The Character Cafe' Design Team page. There you will meet the new design team. And get the first piece of the code. You will need to have the code in the correct order to use it. And don't forget to check out the Cafe' Store to purchase the new releases.

I was given "Fairy Nissa" as my first image to play with. And what a perfect choice for me. Isn't she adorable. I was secretly hoping that they would give me this one-hehe! I decided to go a little darker with her, but had to use pink too. I colored her with copics and added a little stickles to give her some sparkle. I tried out a new type of card for this one too. This one opens at the top, like an envelope. I did the inside with this one too. I just added some black paper, and a little cherry. Thanks so much for playing along.

Here is my part of the code-"6". You don't use the quotations, although I'm sure you guys know that. I myself would probably try to use them if I hadn't been told. So, I'm just being clear-lol.

Now you need to go to Stephanie's Blog to see her great creation and get the next piece of the code.

Squigglefly Challenge 6

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I've been having a heck of a time getting this to post! I'm ready to scream! Ok, enough of that. This week on the Squigglefly Challenge Blog we were asked to use Black, Pink, one color of our choice, 2 flowers, and 2 brads. Now for me this was the easiest challenge ever. This is my absolute favorite color combo, and these were the colors of my wedding. Including the Silver that I picked as my other color. The name of the image I used is: Madison and Popples. Isn't it too cute? I colored her with my Bic Mark It's and Copics. I used a glitter gel pen for the silver. I cut her out and matted her with nesties. All CS is DCWV, the dp is making memories, and the silver vellum-well, I have no idea. I used a corner punch to my dp into. The flowers are prima, and the glitter brads are bo bunny. The ribbon is from Joann's, and the bling is Kaiser Scrapbok. If you haven't visited Squigglefly, you really should. They just released a bunch of new images, besides all the other ones. They are a digital company, with great prices. Thanks for looking, and hope you like it.

My Grafico Challenge

Good evening, hope all is well with you. This card is for the My Grafico Challenge. I just found this blog, I've seen the website before and they have very cute images. This week was to use one of these birds that they were actually giving away free. Isn't it cute? When I first saw this little bird, I immediately thought of fibers for her tail. Because of the fibers everywhere I kept the rest of the card very simple. I used a circle card template from The Cutting Cafe'. They have some awesome digital images and card templates. I used copics to color the little bird, added some purple ink around the edges and finished it off with a little bit of stickles. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.

A Whimsy Doodles Creation

Good morning, hope all is well with you. Today I have a card made with an adorable image from Whimsy Doodles. If you haven't seen these before, then you need to go right away. She has the cutest images. And alot of them are turtles, what could be better. This image is called "This bud's for you". I printed out several of these and then re sized some too. The idea here was to make a mom and her babies. See the 4 babies? That's how many I have. Actually I've had this idea for awhile, since this is going to be my new tattoo. Although I'm not using this turtle, but a sea turtle. So, when I started working with this image, I thought how perfect to put my idea on a card. What do you think? I colored with my copics. The sketch is from card patterns, challenge #18. I made the card long in order to fit all my cute little turtles. The CS is DCWV, and the dp is Creating Keepsakes. I used my corner rounder to add the scallop edges. I used Crystal Stickles to go around the scallops and to highlight the roses. The ribbon is from Michael's and the bling is also from Michael's. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. I'll be back tomorrow with the Squigglefly challenge, so come back and join in the fun.

Sabrina's Card

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. Today I'm sharing a picture of my daughter Sabrina with a card that she made all on her own. She used a digital image from Victoria Case Designs. She loves these images, and decided to make a card for her Grandma with it. I was working on my stuff and she pulled out a TV tray and got busy on her own little thing. Isn't it adorable, I think she did a great job!! Have a wonderful day!

Around The House SS Challenge

Good morning, hope all is well with you. Today's card was made for our DIVA'S SS challenge. Julie gave us the challenge last week to make a card with something from "around the house". I decided to use buttons, because I couldn't think of anything else. The image is from a clear Inkadinkadoo set. I stamped it in black staz-on, and colored with copics, MS glitter marker, and Xmas Red Stickles. The card base is "Black Tie" DCWV, the dp is also DCWV, and the red is from a value pack at Michael's. I inked the edges in silver by colorbox, and added 3 buttons with silver glitter glue in the middle of them. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking.

I colored the image with copics, MS glitter markers, and stickles. The CS is from Michael's value pack, and the dp is DCWV stack. I used an eyelet with fibers through it for the top. And added some jewels to the corner. Thanks for looking, hope you like it.

Squigglefly DT Challenge #5

Good morning, hope all is well with you. Today's card is for the Squigglefly DT challenge #5. This week was a color challenge. We were to use: Kiwi Kiss, Pacific Breeze, and Pink Pirouette. Well, I don't have Stampin' Up colors, so I got as close as I could. The image is actually a freebie from Squigglefly. Isn't it beautiful?! I colored with my prisma color pencils and blended with the colorless blender pencil. The green CS is DCWV, the blue is from Michael's value pack, and the dp is Making Memories. I added some crystal stickles, and the ribbon is from my stash. I kept it very simple today. To play along with the DT, go to the sqigglefly blog-Here. Hope you like it and thanks for looking. Red, White, and Blue Challenge

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I've finally finished my red, white, and blue challenge. This challenge was given to us by Jennifer from The Design D.I.V.A.S. blog group. This challenge was given to us quite awhile ago, but I've been so far behind. I'm finally getting caught up. I used the star card template from The Cutting Cafe'. I added some blue and red and striped stars on top. The image is from Scrapsmart. If you've never been there, you should check it out. They have wonderful vintage images available for immediate download. I outlined with silver glitter glue, and a Martha Stewart silver glitter marker. I added 2 star buttons tied with embroidery thread. Thanks for looking, hope you like it.

Designing DIVAS challenge

Good morning, hope all is well with you. I've finally finished a challenge that was given to us quite awhile ago. The challenge was to make an altered item with a holiday theme. Well for Mother's Day this year, I'm so behind. Oh well, my mom does expect this of me. But, I have felt very bad about this taking so long. I knew what I wanted to do, just wasn't sure how to go about it. I finally got it done yesterday. I had this digital photo frame and thought it would be a great gift for my mom with pictures of the kids in it. One problem, it was an ugly white plastic. I don't know about you, but I don't like ugly white plastic things. And I know that my mom doesn't. I used her favorite color-green, and threw in my fav color-pink. I primered the frame first, and then added 2 coats of paint. I sponged on pink-just to give it a little highlight. I then added a coat of glitter paint. I glued the flowers to the bottom, and in the middle of the flowers are pink crystal flower brads. I painted a chipboard flourish with the same pink, and added some glitter to it. I used wire edge ribbon to go through the ugly holes on top and make a huge bow. I love how this turned out, and hopefully my mom will too. I love you Mom, and so sorry it's late!!! Sorry about the flash in the pictured, I couldn't get a good pic without it. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking.

2 Challenges In 1

Good afternoon, hope all is well with you. I've done 2 challenges in 1 for this card. And I actually did 2 cards yesterday(what the heck?). My husband took all 4 kids cat fishing last night, and I had the whole night to myself. All I can say is WOW! That was so nice. So this card is for the Cupcake Craft Challenge. The challenge this week was to use a fairy. Well since I just received my Bella order with my new Ketto's in it, I had to use one of those. This is Agnes Ketto, isn't she adorable?! I used a sketch from the Mojo Monday Challenge. Therefore the 2nd part of the challenge. All paper is DCWV, the dp is from the Far East stack. The black is Black Tie Bling. I colored my image with copics. I cut everything out with my nesties from 7kidscollegefund. They have great prices on these. The sentiment is from Impression Obsession. The grossgrain is from the dollar store and the cream and gold ribbon is from Michael's. The flowers are kaiser scrap, with the center flower from a dollar pkg. The butterfly is from my stash. I used crystal stickles to outline everything. And the jewels are from Michael's also. Hope you like it, and thanks for looking.

Squigglefly Challenge #4

Good morning, hope all is well with you. This morning I'm posting my DT challenge card for Squigglefly. Our team leader gave us a sketch to work with and this is what I came up with.

You can find all of the DT's entries Here. I used the image Turtle Taxi, isn't it adorable! I love turtles so this image was perfect for me. All paper is DCWV. I used my nesties to cut out the circles. I colored the image with my copics. The ribbon is from my stash, and the jewels are from Michael's. Hope you like it and thanks for looking.
